Science is all around us. We strongly believe in adopting an inquiry-based approach to stimulate our students’ curiosity about the world around them. Young children are naturally inquisitive and we hope to nurture their curiosity and help them become enthusiastic and self-motivated learners. Our Science programme effectively prepares students for school examinations as our curriculum is in-line with the MOE syllabus.
Making Science Interactive and Engaging
At The Edu Experience, we believe in nurturing curiosity from a young age. As we introduce scientific concepts and ideas to our little ones, they are made fun, relatable and observable in everyday life. Every lesson is distilled and simplified for our young learners so they can get an early exposure to the world of Science and we can spark their desire to seek out new knowledge using our own TEE CODE framework.
Although P2 students have not been introduced to Science in school yet, we offer a Science Introductory Programme that runs annually from August to October. This is a 3-month programme which includes an outdoor learning experience. The programme aims to give students a platform to formally acquire important soft skills like note-taking, asking related scientific questions, and conducting experiments. Students will be given a head start and early exposure to scientific concepts and ideas. With the interactive teaching approach at The Edu Experience and our CODE framework, students enrolled in this programme will be ahead of their peers and ready to take on Science as an official subject in P3.
Our teachers aim to INspire our students and spark their love for learning, and we hope that our students will learn to INquire like scientists through robust scientific discussions and investigations, and INnovate through the application of Science concepts to generate creative solutions for real-world problems. These 3 “IN”s are part of the MOE’s Curriculum Framework. At the end of our P2 programme, students emerge as motivated learners who think critically, analyse scientifically and solve problems efficiently. Having built a strong foundation, they are set to ace their primary science education.
We introduce scientific concepts through fun and interactive lessons to develop our students’ interest in Science and pique their curiosity about the world around them. Continuing our principle of inspiring motivated learners, we guide students towards asking the right questions and thinking critically. We incorporate experiments into our lessons, and engage students with questions that encourage them to arrive at their conclusions independently. We guide them towards linking scientific knowledge to the real world, as well as train them to answer exam questions using the right answering techniques and keywords so that they may tackle their weighted assessments and end-of-year examinations with greater confidence.

Primary 5 is a crucial year for students as they are introduced to more advanced Science concepts, and have to start preparing for the PSLE. Our upper Primary programme helps students to not only consolidate Science knowledge learnt throughout their primary years but also internalise complex concepts and processes.
Our teachers guide and encourage students to write their own summary of each topic, and make connections between what they have learnt. Intentional efforts are made to let students develop reasoning and analytical skills, decision and problem-solving skills and the flexibility to respond to different contexts presented in questions. Students are encouraged to take ownership of their own learning, and take the initiative to clarify any doubts they may have.
The Edu Experience’s worksheets are specially curated by our experienced teachers who are familiar with the latest MOE Science syllabus. Students are trained to analyse the different types of questions that are commonly tested, and taught how to tackle and answer them skilfully using accurate scientific terms and concepts to score in both multiple-choice and open-ended questions.
As your child gears up for the PSLE in Primary 6, we work on reinforcing and deepening the understanding of Science concepts and mastering the correct answering techniques. Our passionate and experienced teachers identify the strengths and weaknesses of each child and help them build confidence through topical revisions, mock exam papers, and practice papers.

Our Science mock exam papers have been specially designed for P6 students preparing to take the PSLE. This timed exam practice offers students the opportunity to complete full-length exams in the PSLE format, helping them develop crucial skills such as time management, concentration, and subject mastery. Our aim is to ensure that every child is able to identify their strengths and areas of improvement so that they are able to excel.
Students often receive insufficient and imprecise feedback from their schools following their school exams. Without understanding their specific areas of weakness, students struggle to identify and address mistakes effectively, making it difficult for them to improve.
We believe in the importance of following up and working closely with our students to bridge any learning gaps. Intensive review sessions are conducted over two weeks after mock exam papers have been completed. These sessions feature detailed correction sheets, allowing students to reflect on their performance for each question, as well as learn the expected answers required to obtain the full score, especially for open-ended questions. This, coupled with our teachers’ detailed explanations, outlines each child’s performance across different question types, as well as customises a roadmap towards grade improvement.
Should a child perform poorly in a mock exam paper, they will be invited to retake it after they have completed their review sessions. The majority of our students are able to attempt the paper with greater confidence, and score higher marks the second time around.
